Honda Accord

Honda has released details and photos of the all-new 2008 Accord sedan and coupe. The new 2008 Honda Accord sedan is longer, wider and taller, and the extra size translates to increased interior room -- a bump of 3 cubic feet that moves the Accord up from the EPA's "mid-size class" to the "large" class. The Coupe is also larger than its predecessor, though slightly smaller than the '08 sedan.
A 177 horsepower 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine is standard in the Accord LX sedan; EX sedans and coupes get a high-flow exhaust system that raises horsepower to 190. Both versions of the 4-banger will be offered with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. V6 models get a 268 hp 3.5 liter V6 and a 5-speed automatic, while the top-of-the-line EX-L V6 coupe will also offer a 6-speed manual. On the safety front, the new Accord features a full set of airbags (front, front-seat-mounted torso and two-row side curtain) as well as antilock brakes and electronic stability control, all standard across the board.
